OPDAT and The US Embassy hosted a five day conference in Tirana to implement strategies for fighting Domestic Violence in Albania. Guest panels included victims of domestic violence, police, health officials, NGO’s, members of the Ministry of Interior, lawyers, judges, members of the media, educators, members of the US Department of Justice, and GAD.
A very special thank you to Cynthia Eldridge for organizing this event and involving GAD! It has proved to be very beneficial to our understanding of the actions necessary to take for domestic violence victims and now we can raise awareness in our own communities!
