Youth Educator Training on Gender & Development (12 November 2011)
Youth Leadership Conference (December 2011): All Sponsored by Vodofone Albania

Goal 1: To provide local educators with the tools to facilitate gender development education in their communities. 
Goal 2: To increase the ability of Albanian youth, both female and male, to work together to address gender development issues and increase their decision-making capacities.
 
GAD Documentary on Gender & Employment in Albania (2011)
This documentary is intended to illustrate the discourse of employment in Albania and how gender plays a role in its professional opportunities. The film will compare and contrast the role of men and women from Communism up to the present, through a series of interviews with youth, adults, and elders, from all across Albania.

Anti Trafficking Activity: Kucove, Albania (October 2010)
GAD Albania held a two-day activity to raise awareness about human trafficking in Albania. This activity was done in association with the Qendra Renore Kucove and Save the Children Albania. The first day of the activity included art pieces about human trafficking submitted by local students, an anti-trafficking awareness seminar, and the short film "Dy Vajza Te Vogla". On the second day of the activity 25 high school students went out into their community with banners, signs, and brochures to raise awareness and help educate community members about human trafficking.

Small Grants 
Project (October 2010)
The GAD committee was able to award five small grants of $50 to volunteer counterpart groups around Albania for gender development related projects.

Girls’ Leadership Conference (June 2010)
GAD Albania held a two-day conference for 50 teenage girls from around Albania. The conference was designed to help participants address relevant issues such as female health, effective leadership, body image, violence, and self-esteem. The girls also learned the basics of project management while working together to develop small projects to bring the information they learned back to their communities. Additionally, participants were able to discuss the state of gender equality with guest speakers from various women’s organizations around Albania.
